Pushboats de Kaap
Shipyard De Kaap in Meppel, the Netherlands, has received an order from a Swiss multinational to build at least nine push boats for work in Colombia, South America. The client is a world player in the field of transport and storage of metals, minerals and coal on the Colombian Magdalena River. We have delivered the complete technical installation.
Shipyard Bijlsma supplied the complete propulsion and systems for gas oil, blige, water, sewage, working air, deck wash, bilge and ballast for these push boats. For the assembly of these technical installations, the employees used fully equipped mobile workshop containers. These working containers included tools, welding equipment, bending and sawing machines and assembly materials.
